About us

The Williamsburg Women's Chorus, under the direction of Ann Porter, is a group of 40+ women singing to express the joy and sheer pleasure of preserving women's choral music for future generations. The only group of its kind in the area, the Chorus was founded in 1965 to encourage appreciation for the rich heritage of women's choral literature. The Chorus is dedicated to excellence in choral performance. Repertoire includes a diversity of styles from Baroque to Broadway.

The Chorus is sustained by membership dues, public donations, and ticket sales. This year the Chorus has received grant money from the Williamsburg Area Arts Commission and the Junior Woman's Club of Williamsburg.
